It has been a while since the last update of our “MACHT HEIMAT” project:

Now that our wall is nearly filled with your definitions of “HEIMAT”, it’s time for Stefan Strumbel to pay us another visit. As art takes its own time, we will enrich the installation step by step. By now, not only is our wall emblazoned with your truly inspiring thoughts and the illuminated bubble, it also received another eye candy – Stefan Strumbels own love letter to his “HEIMAT” – the installation takes shape.

So if you are in town, pay us a visit have a look and make your contribution by writing on our wall – but hurry up! There’s little space left.

Just a short update to our MACHT HEIMAT project:

We now got the bubble installed and the wall gets awesomely illuminated by the backlights – real eyecandy. And since the IAA is in process the wall gets packed by definitions of Heimat – some short others more defined. They all let you get a glimpse of how multi-faceted Heimat can be.
So if you want to immortalize yourself on our wall you definitely have to hurry up!

Today the first participants immortalized themselves on our wall – we really look forward to see your definition of “Heimat” …

Stefan Strumbels art reflects the paradigms of home and perpetually questions its concept. The Pure hotel provides frequent travelers a temporary home away from home. What kind of perspective on “home” does someone have, who has travelled the world, seen different cultures, customs and people? Dow they feel at “home” no matter where they are? To come closer to an answer Stefan Strumbel planned his installation in the The Pure hotel. One wall with many opinions about the definition of “Heimat” will be a part of it … From now on everyone who makes The Pure hotel is contemporary home is invoked to write his definition of “Heimat” on our wall in the lobby. The preparations are finished – the wall got its new coat of paint and the electric lines are placed. So come by and check out the progress …
